At Wilson Fabrics, sustainability isn’t just about ticking boxes — it’s about making thoughtful choices every day. From the way we power our mill, to how we use water, to the fabrics we design, we’re constantly looking for ways to reduce our footprint and create products that are better for people and the planet.

Our Wangaratta site is now powered in part by a 1 MW rooftop solar system — almost 2,000 panels across our factory roof. This generates nearly one third of our electricity needs and saves about 1,000 tonnes of CO₂ each year. It’s a big step towards cleaner energy.

Manufacturing fabric is water-intensive, so we’ve been part of pioneering research into wastewater recycling. By using the heat already available on site, our new membrane distillation technology can recover clean water from our existing treatment process for reuse and dispose of less waste. It’s an exciting glimpse into the future of smarter, more circular water use.

Our fabrics are proudly Australian Made and carry the prestigious GREENGUARD Gold certification, recognised globally for meeting the most rigorous standards for low VOC emissions. This certification ensures our products actively contribute to healthier indoor air quality. In addition, our fabrics are PVC-free, lead-free, and halogen-free, and are manufactured without the use of antimony trioxide. By removing these harmful substances from our supply chain, we deliver products that are safer for people and responsibly aligned with environmental best practice.
